1928-C Red Seal United States Note Fr 1504m *EXCEEDINGLY RARE C-A BLOCK MULE*

Up for sale is the INSANELY RARE Fr 1504m 1928-C MULE Red Seal Legal Tender / United States Note. Extremely short crossover printing on this transition note that has the Julian/Morganthau signatures and micro size plate number on the front, and the new larger font 1928-D back. Just the normal 1928-C is a series semi-key, far scarcer than the later 1928-D,F,G notes that make up most of the population. This note is also from the exceedingly rare C-A serial block and features a low serial number.
This variety just isn't out there. I can only find one other currently for sale in the market, and it is the more common B-A block. Don't miss your chance to acquire this unique C-A block example, it may be years before another comes up for sale. In my 20+ years of collecting and selling, this is the only one I have ever had. The Standard Guide to Small Size US Currency, the definitive pricing guide for blocks and varieties, lists this note at ,500.
The note grades around Fine+ in my opinion with great color on the overprint. It does have a repaired corner, discounting deeply for it. But with a note this rare, can't get too picky.
