Vintage Grey Mohair Plush Anker Germany Mufti the Laughing Donkey
14 cm tall (5 1/2 inches)
Made from short plush grey mohair with longer fluffy grey mohair for his ankles, tail tuft and mane
Black and white eyes, stitched black exaggerated lashes
White vinyl teeth (some teeth are missing - see photos)
Beige velveteen lined opened mouth
No missing mohair, a little thinning mohair on his toes, a tiny patch near his eye, and one on his side.
The Anker company was founded in 1954 with the purchase of the Johann Hermann company in Germany, but sadly, ceased business in 1977.  Mufti dates from approx. c1960.
